There are 3 difference levels of electric vehicle charging; Level
1, 2, and 3.
Level 1 charging is the slowest rate via a standard household power outlet. As this is the slowest form of charging, it needs to be plugged in overnight.
Level 2 charging is an installed charger dedicated to charging your EV, with at least a 7kW rate charger (with single phase power) that can be upgraded to faster rate chargers such as a 22kW (with three-phase power).
Level 3 charging is also known as ‘rapid charging’ which are mainly used for public chargers, with speeds commonly around 50-150kW, all the way up to 360kW.
